Wheelcorp Premium has plugged in a new EV charging facility sporting the latest Mini branding at the Sanctuary Mall in Eco Sanctuary, Bandar Rimbayu, for EV owners in the township.
The charging facility features two parking lots, a 50 kW DC charger with two DC holders and a 22 kW AC charger. It’s open to the public and is accessible via the JomCharge app with a standard rate of RM 1.20 per minute of use. You’ll even find a CHAdeMO cable alongside the more common CCS and AC cables.
BMW Group Malaysia has been actively developing EV charging infrastructure in the country and this facility is the latest from them. Over 670 charging facilities have been made available by BMW Group Malaysia for EV owners here thus far, with access to over 360 of these facilities provided through partnerships with ChargEV and Yinson Greentech.

Furthermore, the partnership with JomCharge also enables access to over 70 charging facilities and Gentari with approximately 150 facilities. Over 100 BMW i and Mini charging facilities are also available at most authorised dealerships, as well as partnering venues across the country, with more to come as part of the strategic infrastructure expansion plan set for the year ahead.
“With the rising uptake of electrified vehicles in Malaysia, we, the providers of these automobiles, consider it one of our main responsibilities to ensure that sufficient infrastructure is in place to support this demand. The positive reception for Electrified Mobility in recent times, bolstered by the many initiatives by our local government, has been a welcome sight for us; and we are committed to developing the EV landscape further for our customers, alongside BMW Group Malaysia,” said Jayden Liew, Managing Director of Wheelcorp Premium.

“Sustainability is EcoWorld’s number one core value and we are always on the lookout to actively engage with organisations that share common sustainability goals. By supporting Wheelcorp Premium’s drive to roll out more charging facilities, we are also making good progress on our own ESG (environmental, social and corporate governance) goals, which is to ensure that all EcoWorld projects have at least one EV charging station,” added Max Leong Yew Mun, Assistant General Manager at Eco Sanctuary.
