Typical Cambodian Food that is Delicious & You Must Try

Cambodia is a country with an attractive tourist destination concept, because it offers many unique things that local and foreign tourists try to offer. 1. Kampot Pepper Crabs

3. Khmer Lap

For those of you who like to enjoy salads, it would be nice to try this typical salad from Cambodia which has a unique taste. In Lap Khmer, apart from vegetables, you will also find slices of raw meat marinated in various selected spices.

These include red and white onions, basil, lime, mint leaves, even lemongrass, fish sauce and pepper. So the aroma of raw meat and its taste can be disguised well. To eat it, you can add hot rice and chopped chilies.

4. Bok L’hong

Still a typical salad dish, Bok L’hong is also famous because it is often referred to as papaya salad. But make no mistake, the papaya used is young papaya, not old and ripe

Young papaya fruit that has been shaved will be mashed and various kinds of seasonings added. Among them are Thai basil, tomatoes, beans, and peanuts. To add a savory taste, small crabs are used and drizzled with a sauce made from prahok, special soy sauce and lime.
