7-seaters are not that big in Thailand which heavily favours pick-up trucks, SUVs, and sedans but for quite a while, the Mitsubishi Xpander was the most popular MPV in the Kingdom.
That began to change in 2023 as the Toyota Veloz rose to snatch the crown from the Xpander in January and March of that year. The Xpander took back its crown in February but only with an advantage of 54 units according to sales data compiled by Autolife Thailand.
Nevertheless, both the Veloz and Xpander dominate the B-segment MPV market in the Kingdom with a combined market share of 90.7% in the first three months of 2023. The Toyota Veloz lead with 3,927 units followed by the Mitsubishi Xpander with 3,357 units.

Both models are fully imported from Indonesia along with the Honda BR-V which sits in 4th place with 263 units sold. The second-generation Honda BR-V will not be making an entry in Malaysia and instead, Honda Malaysia would be introducing its smaller 5-seater sibling, the Honda WR-V.
