Thinking of an EV? Special preview of Peugeot e-2008 (and more!) at 1 Utama, from 17- to 25-May 2023

Today’s news of a soon-to-be reformed road tax structure for electric vehicles (EVs) should bring respite to current and would-be owners of such cars. Rightly that will renew some interest; and if you’re one of them, here’s where you can check out the upcoming 2023 Peugeot e-2008 EV in Malaysia this week.

It will be part of Bermaz Auto Alliance’s Peugeot roadshow in 1 Utama, taking place from 17- to 25-May 2023, from 10 am-10 pm at the mall’s Luxe Concourse in its new wing.

Joining the e-2008 will be the kitted-up, regular combustion engine 2023 Peugeot 2008 SE, and its stablemate, the Peugeot Landtrek pick-up truck.

Peugeot e-2008

As the name suggests, the 2023 e-2008 is the EV version of the French carmaker’s entry-level B-segment 2008 SUV. An electric motor, delivering 136 PS and 260 Nm of torque drives the front wheels, and a 50 kWh lithium-ion (Li-Ion) battery is good for a 345 km WLTP-rated range.

A price list is not available yet as the car is only slated to launch here in the fourth quarter (Q4) of this year.

Peugeot 2008 SE

Keeping the same powertrain and specifications as the regular 2008, the 2008 SE is an aesthetics package for the compact SUV. Available in only 2 colours (Orange Fusion, Pearl White), the 2008 SE also gets unique graphics along the sides and on the hood, as well as additional trim on the side skirts, front and rear bumpers, as well as 17-inch Piano Black wheels.

The regular 2008 is priced from RM 134,103, while the SE kit is an additional RM 2,900.
