The Best Museum In Sao Paulo To Visit

1.Afro Brazil Museum
On its two vast floors, there are many paintings and photographs, traditional costumes, textiles and statues for you to admire. Part of the hugely popular Ibirapuera Park, it was built only in 2004 with a massive building designed by respected architect Oscar Niemeyer. Its exhibits focus on everything from the effects of slavery and the cultural spheres of Afro-Brazilians to religion, labor and celebrities. While we really enjoyed all its wonderful artifacts and artwork, the museum could have been laid out a bit better. You’ll also want an audio guide as almost none of the exhibits are explained in English. We appreciated the collection and were a bit sad that there were hardly any other visitors when we stopped.

Long popular with families and school excursions, it is now home to many interesting science and technology exhibits. While the museum only opened in 2009, the eclectic palace was completed nearly a hundred years earlier. One of the main art academies of the city and country is the prestigious Pinacoteca do Estado. At the highly regarded museum, you can admire some of Brazil’s finest 19th-century paintings and sculptures. The oldest art museum in Sao Paulo, Pina was founded in 1905. The extensive collection of some 10,000 works of art now houses the former headquarters of the Lycée des Arts et Métiers. The renovated building’s exposed brickwork, airy central skylight and dramatic staircase make for a memorable visit.

Along it is also the must-see MASP, one of the most popular museums on the continent. With its distinctive building, interestingly different layout, and hundreds of thought-provoking artworks, this is definitely one of the best places we visited in Sao Paulo. Internationally recognized for its collection of European art, this magnificent museum was established in 1947 with Brazilian, African and Asian works also on display. Its expansive galleries display wonderful paintings by Picasso, Monet and Van Gogh among many others. Since they are all mounted on glass in the center of the floor, you can inspect them from any angle.

This museum is located in the infamous Rio de Janeiro and is the most visited place here. This place was built by a very famous spanish architect and is known for its unique and majestic structures. This museum is science-based and focuses on topics like climate change or predicts some theories based on the current environmental situation. This museum offers some really cool tours and you can join them and see the amazing work they’ve done.

When you visit this museum you can see different features and modern style of Oscar and this museum was built by him. This whole museum is a perfect blend of Brazilian culture and modern culture. This museum is known as one of Niemeyer’s finest works and it is a beautiful place worth a visit.

This beautiful museum is located in the middle of the convent of Santa Teresa d’Avila. This place is home to much of the history of the city of Salvador. The main goal of the construction of this magnificent museum was to preserve the great sacred art of the Luso-Brazilians. They have an extensive collection of all the silver, gold and ivory coins of the Salvadoran era and this dates back to the 18th century.

This place is called the green palace by the locals and is very famous and beautiful. This historic structure was built between 1868 and 1883. The whole architecture of this place is very eye catching and you can see the details and efforts that have made this place great.
