Each individual is supported to make his own choices in his recovery. We also include fun social events, like our weekly BBQ and bowling nights. Clients also learn life skills through one on one mentoring and fun events, like cooking with exceptional private chefs! Also included, our community offers activities, like weekend rock climbing, golf, and basketball. On Saturdays, clients can participate in engagement activities, like trampoline dodgeball, go-kart racing, and escape room challenges. We provide opportunities for meaningful development of community and positive social connection through these experiences and more.
Sober Living Requirements
At Teras, we offer structured sober living with flexible structure to meet the needs of those returning to family, work, school, or other commitments. At Teras, our experienced team, plus ancillary providers, provide a high level of support for clients to take action in a recovery fellowship, and engage outside tharros house structure. Tharros offers significantly more than a traditional sober living. We fit in between what you’d find at a clinical extended care program and very supportive recovery home.

Our community offers extensive structure, much of which is optional. If you’ve completed a program like this, you’re probably feeling very good about your recovery, as you should. Leaving a residential, inpatient, or outpatient treatment environment is often more challenging than expected. You’ve changed, but the tharros house people, places, and things around you haven’t.
Whether you’ve just completed a drug detox, alcohol rehab, or any other kind of substance abuse treatment, we know recovery takes time and we know that you’re worth it. Whatever your primary treatment method, you’ve had a great start because your body is now free of alcohol and drugs. We want to help you transition to a fulfilled and enjoyable life in sobriety. With 24/7 management and support, we can help you find an appropriate job, connect with the recovery community through volunteer opportunities and activities, find the right treatment resources, and build a foundation in sobriety. Learning to live a happy life free of alcohol and drugs takes time, but you can do it if you want to. Tharros House, located steps away from the center of Lexington, spans 4 levels with almost 8000 square feet of living space. All client guest rooms at Tharros are equipped with queen sized Serta Presidential Euro-top premium mattresses and high thread count linens. Tharros offers an extensive and flexible peer support program to helps clients navigate important changes and decisions.

Melissa provides Tharros House with evidence-based intervention strategies, including empirically supported practices for substance use disorder (SUD). More specifically, she offers didactic training and psychoeducation among the Tharros Team Members. She has hosted field experts in motivational interviewing (MI) to provide team member training and continuously seeks ways to provide education and support among the Tharros House team. After spending much of his career in retail where he managed for Mobil, Circle K and Home Depot, Nick joined the Tharros Team in February of 2018, making the decision to follow his passion of helping men in recovery.
Monthly fees at Tharros include food for all meals and snacks, transportation by our team in commercially insured SUVs, all activities, Tharros groups, and peer mentoring support. However, experience has shown us, not every person with an addiction or alcoholism is the same. Tharros House Recovery Residences
We help you see, what it is about you, you may have a hard time seeing. You are more likely to maintain long-term sobriety by entering and committing to a structured transitional living environment, like Tharros House. That’s why we encourage our clients to consider staying 6 months to one year. Our experience has been that once our clients arrive at Tharros House, they understand and feel the benefits. You are not locked in to any long term agreements, but we do ask that you come planning to stay for at least 60 days. After your initial period at Tharros, you may wish to explore our less structured home, Teras.
