Trekking through Heaven: Exploring the Tarsar Marsar Trek in Kashmir

There is a location where you must bridge a stream, proceed along the stream for a little while, and then gradually rise until you arrive at an area covered in boulders. The Shekwas camp location is reached after you pass these enormous stones.

  • Day 4 of the Trek from Shekwas to Tarsar Lake:

The fourth day of the Tarsar walk involves a steady ascent up the trail from Shekwas to Tarsar, passing through grassland, valleys, streams, and stones. As you ascend, the incredible view is magnificent. You walk for around five kilometers and climb 500 meters in elevation. Finally, you arrive at Tarsar Lake, which is like heaven on earth.

The journey further descends through beautiful dense forests and the hikers then reach Homwas, which is a small village with Kashmiri houses. Then the trek comes to an end and the trekkers trail back to Srinagar.
