WTC Automotif (M) Sdn Bhd (WTCA), anak syarikat milik penuh Warisan TC Holdings Bhd telah mengumumkan projek pemasangan tempatan (CKD) dengan Guangzhou Automobile Group (GAC), menandakan kerjasama mendalam bagi kedua-dua WTCA dan GAC.
Warisan TC Holdings Bhd adalah syarikat sekutu Edaran Tan Chong Motor (ETCM), yang bertanggungjawab untuk model Nissan di Malaysia. Ini merupakan pencapaian penting bagi GAC, kerana ini menandakan operasi CKD pertama mereka di luar China.
Projek CKD, di mana WTCA akan melabur lebih daripada RM 60 juta, melibatkan pembuatan model GAC Motor GS3 generasi akan datang, serta memperluaskan kehadirannya ke seluruh negara. Projek CKD diumumkan kira-kira 18 bulan selepas WTCA dan GAC International menandatangani perjanjian pengedaran, melantik WTCA sebagai pengedar tunggal dan eksklusif kenderaan GAC di Malaysia.
Sebahagian daripada pelaburan bernilai RM60 juta ini akan digunakan untuk pelaburan khusus model seperti peralatan, dan peningkatan kemudahan di kemudahan Tan Chong Segambut (model berjenama Nissan dipasang di Serendah) untuk memenuhi keperluan pemasangan tempatan model CKD dan GAC baharu.
“Kami yakin dengan pengalaman bertahun-tahun Kumpulan Tan Chong dan pelaburan terbaru kami dalam kemudahan kami, kami akan memenuhi jangkaan AC. Pasukan kami mempunyai kerjasama yang kuat dengan pasukan GAC untuk memastikan bahawa kami dapat memenuhi Standard Kualiti GAC.

“GAC sentiasa mengutamakan penghantaran kereta berkualiti tinggi. Kami yakin dengan pengalaman luasnya dalam industri automotif, WTCA dapat memenuhi standard kualiti pembuatan kami yang tinggi. Kami menjangkakan bahawa dengan pembangunan 3-5 tahun, pengeluaran dan jualan akan mencapai 50,000 unit.
“Bagi memenuhi sasaran ini, GAC akan terus menyelaras sumber dalaman dan luaran serta meningkatkan sokongan untuk pasaran Malaysia, mempercepatkan pelancaran model utama, menambah baik matriks model dan menyediakan lebih banyak produk kenderaan pintar dan berkualiti tinggi untuk pengguna tempatan. ” Naib Presiden Kumpulan GAC dan Pengerusi GAC International Yu Jun berkata.
WTCA juga akan menggunakan pelaburan ini dalam rancangan mereka untuk menubuhkan lebih daripada 70 bilik pameran melalui penubuhan cawangan dan pelantikan pengedar mereka sendiri untuk meliputi seluruh negara. Bilik pameran perdana GAC Motor Malaysia yang pertama akan berpangkalan di Seksyen 13 Petaling Jaya, yang dijangka siap pada suku ketiga 2023.
“Bilik pameran utama baharu ini akan mengalu-alukan semua pelanggan untuk melawat dan merasai pengalaman hospitaliti GAC Motor dan kenderaan GAC Motor. Pelanggan digalakkan memandu uji untuk mengalami keunggulan produk,” tambah Tan lagi.
Projek CKD ini adalah sebahagian daripada perkongsian komersial jangka panjang GAC MOTOR dan Tan Chong Group di rantau ASEAN. Dalam tempoh lima tahun akan datang, WTCA akan memperkenalkan inventori yang menarik dan komprehensif bagi model GAC MOTOR pemanduan sebelah kanan, termasuk SUV, Sedan dan MPV.
Di samping itu, semua model Global GAC MOTOR baharu akan dibangunkan secara serentak untuk pemacu kanan dan kiri, memastikan pengguna Malaysia menerima model terkini pada kadar yang sama dengan pengguna global yang lain.
Model CKD GAC Motor GS3 baharu akan mempunyai enjin Suntikan Langsung Turbo 1.5 generasi ketiga, transmisi automatik dwi-klac jenis basah 7 kelajuan dan tork 270 Nm yang terkemuka segmen. Maklumat lanjut akan dikeluarkan dalam masa terdekat.
