EXCLUSIVE: Don’t call her a video vixen just yet, though. The 17-year-old sultry multifaceted artist has a diversified portfolio that extends far wider than just being an easy on the eyes dancer. Raven Keiara is that girl taking over the screen for the highly anticipated new single release from singer Issac Ryan Brown’s consistently catchy anthem, “Show Me.” But, don’t sleep on her other talents and milestones.

Raven Keiara is no stranger to media and entertainment. An Austin native, the journalist has covered numerous red carpets in Hollywood and worked at Tavis Smiley’s KBLA1580 Talk Radio as a line producer. The Los Angeles based station in the number two media market in the country continued to set Raven Keiara up for success in the industry at 15-years-old.

But for Raven Keiara, age is nothing but a number for the teen who’s been in show business since she was 5 years old.

Raven Keiara was cast as the 5-year-old daughter in the Disneyland Disney Firsts commercial, which aired nationally and repeatedly on the Disney Channel.

Over the years, through her exposure with Disney, Raven was able to be in front of the camera constantly appearing in commercials for Disneyland, Disney Destinations, and features on The Disney Channel.

The teen says one of her fondest entertainment memories was being flown to Hawaii by Disney to shoot a commercial for Disney’s Aulani Resort.

At 8 years old, Raven Keiara was interviewing Hollywood legends such as the late Bob Barker and Diahann Carroll, industry titans such as Joe Mantegna, and Donald Driver, not to mention standing toe-to-toe interviewing her peers such as Marsai Martin, Skai Jackson, and others. During that time Raven Keiara ran in circles with the Blackish stars and other child actors often showing up in the same Beverly Hills spaces.

Raven Keiara has walked red carpets from the Young Hollywood Awards to VIP events in Hollywood and beyond. In 2015, as a youth reporter, she made history on the team of the first-ever secondary students to cover the National Arts, Entertainment and Journalism Awards at the Biltmore in Los Angeles. Her latest acting project, ‘Our Christmas Love Story,’ where she plays the sister of lead actor NAACP-nominated director Reggie Gaskins, is streaming now.

Last month Raven Keiara graduated with honors from the prestigious Mira Costa High School in Manhattan Beach where she served as the Media Manager for the Black Scholars Union.

In that role, Raven Keiara, a noted teen activist, advocated for the city government to incorporate an inaugural Juneteenth Celebration, which they did. Following the passage, Raven Keiara was honored by Manhattan Beach mayor Joe Franklin, the city council, Supervisor Holly J. Mitchell, and Senator Ben Allen for her tireless efforts wrangling other students to champion the cause.

And in May, Raven Keiara was honored by Imagine Etiquette, Inc. at the 26th Annual First Ladies High Tea in Beverly Hills. The gifted teen scholar was recognized as an L.A. Focus magazine essay winner for her staunch support of empowering Gen Z. Former California Senator Sydney Kamlager-Dove was also honored at the event.

Raven Keiara (Melvin) has received numerous awards for her community activism and extensive service record.

Most notably of all, Raven’s passion for giving back in the community and speaking up for others is a sign of her burgeoning status as a voice of her generation.

For her dedicated work in the community, Raven Keiara has received numerous accolades from the likes of U.S. Senator Laphonza Butler, Senator Steven Bradford, Assemblyman Mike Gibson, Assembly Al Muratsuchi, Congressman Ted Lieu, Senator Lola Smallwood-Cuevas, Congresswoman Sydney Kamlager-Dove, and Congresswoman Maxine Waters, among others.

Raven Keiara also draws from her experience of homeschooling as a tween and during her first high school years which presented much social awkwardness. The performer turned to the arts and found her home, passion, purpose, and niche at Amazing Grace Conservatory (AGC).

Raven Keiara has worked at the media arts and production school for the past few years as a talent and media coordinator under the direction of Hollywood veteran Wendy Raquel Robinson.

“We just love Raven, she is a joy. She’s my leo sister,” Robinson said.

Many great talents have walked the halls of AGC including industry heavyweights such as Aldis Hodge, Lauren London, and Issa Rae, to name a few. Neicy Nash-Betts remains one of the most outspoken corporate sponsors and often donates winnings from reality competitions to the school, now in its 27th year of changing lives.

Most recently, Raven Keiara spearheaded and directed efforts for community awareness campaigns housed at the media and arts school. In recent weeks, she organized several neighborhood events bridging resources and educating the community on key initiatives. Raven Keiara collaborated with city and community officials in the historic Sugar Hill neighborhood of Los Angeles where a number of prominent Black business owners, doctors, lawyers and famous actresses once resided.

This summer has already proven to be much different from last year when the multi-hyphenate took on New York City studying at the prestigious New York University in their pre-college program. Raven Keiara has decided it’s in her best interest to take a gap year to explore and unlock her creative potential. As a scholar, performer, and media professional she is brimming with excitement to have options.

Raven Keiara, described as “sweetly funny,” “fresh,” and “charming,” is embracing a multi-hyphenate career. She is constantly reinventing herself and adding new hyphens to her own career, including her dabbling into directing and production, the teen told MetroTalkLA recently.

This is not Raven Keiara’s first rodeo. Over the years, she has also appeared in other music and high-profile videos including one for LA Galaxy and another for the 8x Grammy-winning group Take 6.

Fresh off the “Issac Experience” video premiere celebration from her upcoming cameo, Raven Keiara is feeling grateful. Beginning tomorrow, viewers can watch her sizzle in the new crowd pleaser from Issac Ryan Brown. The two actors came together in December 2023 for an ACG production — ‘Pino,’ where Brown played the leading role.

Brown, an alumni of the famed Southern California conservatory, stared on Disney’s ‘Raven’s Home’ for six seasons. The dancer and singer experienced a meteoric rise to fame following his win on ‘America’s Got Talent.’

The actors’ onscreen chemistry is undeniable.

Brown’s team chimed in and said, “Raven has a great appeal and we thought she would be the right casting for the shoot and it turned out nice.”

“I’m at a good place right now in my career where I can explore creative opportunities that I feel like truly represent my brand,” added Raven Keiara. “I want to keep constantly pushing the creative boundaries in artistry expression, acting, and directing. I’m happy to embark on the next chapter and bring creative energy to every project.”

Raven Keiara is, indeed, the real deal.
