My method for getting it just right is to paint the wall 3 quarters of an inch, or at least half its height. Ceilings will appear taller which makes the room appear bigger. Additionally, you’ll save a lot of money on paint! You can use rich, darker colors for the ceiling and walls. The room will still look bright and spacious.
