GWM gathers over 260 distributors at global conference to share future expansion plans

Great Wall Motor (GWM) hosted over 260 of their distributors from more than 60 countries for their 2023 Global Conference that carried the theme of “New GWM, New Energy.”

The event was held on 19 April 2023 in Shanghai, to coincide with Auto Shanghai 2023. During the grand event, President of GWM, Mu Feng, delivered a detailed presentation of the company’s global expansion strategy that will include a focus on new energy vehicles and be based on the Forest Ecosystem.

Riding on an Intelligent NEV philosophy of “Greener, Higher and Safer” will see the company implement a “One GWM” global single-product strategy. This will enable the company to conduct targeted differentiated planning in the global market and work more seamlessly with their distributors to create more high-quality NEVs for customers.

Part of the conference included a grand award ceremony to acknowledge their important distributor partners that enabled GWM’s rapid global expansion. Vice President and Head of International Markets at GWM, Parker Shi, presented the honorary awards to distributor partners that made significant contributions to their global operations.

Furthermore, the GWM also made great strides forward by forging new global partnerships by penning agreements during the Global Business Partner Signing Ceremony section of the agenda.

However, the ceremony was preceded by a visit to GWM’s factory and R&D laboratory as well as a press conference during Auto Shanghai 2023. This was intended to hep their partners better understand the Forest Ecosystem.

Many of their partners were impressed and acknowledged GWM’s prowess at vehicle manufacturing and intelligent new energy products.

“Visiting GWM, I was able to experience their excellent new energy solutions, and I hope to bring new energy vehicles to more local customers as soon as possible,” enthused one of their partners.

Moving forward, cooperation between GWM and their extensive distributor network will be key in achieving this future envisioned by them. Thus far, their distributors firmly believe in this vision after witnessing GWM’s excellent quality, luxury features and new energy technologies that’re fast gaining recognition from consumers.

Distributors from Australia, South Africa and Brazil were especially optimistic about GWM’s performance in the future.

In 2022, GWM’s overseas sales volume exceeded 170,000 units; a record high with a year-on-year increase of 21.28 percent. Since they began exporting in 1997, GWM has had more than 700 overseas sales channels covering more than 170 countries worldwide and totalling sales over 1 million units.

A huge part of their future plans rests on their goal of implementing their whole industrial chain overseas, including products, technologies as well as services. Strengthening the Forest Ecosystem will be cardinal in this transformation.
