Pada hujung minggu lalu, GAC melancarkan MPV GAC E9. E9 ialah yang pertama daripada siri E-elektrik MPV GAC.
Untuk pasaran China, GAC menawarkan 3 varian E9 iaitu Pro, Max dan Grandmaster. Kesemua 3 varian adalah 7 tempat duduk.
Harga GAC E9 bermula dari CNY 329,800 (~RM 213k) untuk varian Pro, manakala varian Max berharga CNY 369,800 (~RM239k). Grandmaster dengan spesifikasi tertinggi berharga CNY 389,800 (~RM252k).
Ketiga-tiga varian menampilkan enjin 2.0 liter pengecas turbo yang disambungkan pada sistem hibrid ‘plug-in’ (PHEV) GAC. Enjinnya menghasilkan 190 PS dan 330 Nm, manakala motor elektrik pula menghembuskan 182 PS dan 300 Nm. Output gabungan ialah 372 PS dan 630 Nm.
Kesemua 3 varian MPV GAC E9 mendapat pek bateri 25.57 kWj. Ia membolehkan julat elektrik tulen sejauh 106 km di bawah kitaran ujian WLTC. Julat gabungan adalah sejauh 1,032 km.

Ia mengambil masa 30 minit untuk mengecas bateri dengan cepat, dan 3.5 jam untuk memperlahankan pengecasan. GAC tidak memberikan kadar pengecasan.
Ciri GAC E9 ialah transmisi DHT dua kelajuan GMC 400, yang membantu MPV 2.4 tan itu melengkapkan pecut 0-100 km/j dalam hanya 8.8 saat.
Pada bahagian kabin, terdapat dwi paparan 12.3 inci di hadapan, satu untuk kluster instrumen digital pemandu, satu lagi untuk penumpang hadapan. Tugas infotainment diuruskan oleh paparan 14.6 inci yang besar.
Kerusi baris kedua ialah tempat duduk kapten yang benar-benar mewah, menawarkan ciri keselesaan makhluk seperti pelarasan kuasa, fungsi urutan, serta fungsi memori.
Baris belakang mendapat paparan 15.6 inci, siap dengan ciri karaoke dan main balik video.
Di Malaysia, Tan Chong kini bertaruh pada GAC untuk kembali ke puncak jualan 50knya. GAC telah berjanji untuk memperkenalkan pelbagai model pemanduan kanan baharu, termasuk sedan, MPV dan SUV.
