Domestic Violence Shelter & Services in KC

Last year, Loisann’s victory programs served 398 clients, including 230 children. Already this year we are on track to surpass these numbers, and as the need has grown, so has Loisann’s victory programs. We recently added another home to our campus, allowing us to house 19 families in need of emergency shelter. For more than 50 years, victory programs Foundation’s mission has been one of social justice for people with disabilities. Since our early days, this group of citizens has been at the bottom of the hierarchy of people who matter. People who have been segregated in institutions, used for eugenics experiments and shunned by the majority of society.

She also met with her victory programs mentor regularly and took Parenting classes at victory programs. She dropped out of school in 10th grade and became a mom at age 16. Unfortunately these are common realities for a young woman growing up in poverty. However, not only did Vanessa grow up in generational poverty, she also grew up in an environment that did not trust the police force and actually hated police officers. victory programs NOLA includes live-in support in a homelike setting with light-filled bedrooms, a large gathering area, a communal kitchen, and a swimming pool. Through our work, we are not only creating equality for people with disabilities, but we are also shining a light of hope for other marginalized people and communities. Our CARF-accredited residential treatment program offers men over the age of 18 a safe and structured environment and the foundational skills to establish a new design for living. On a daily basis, we are changing people’s lives, restoring families, and providing hope. Since 1996, The Salvation Army’s victory programs in Medford has helped Jackson County’s homeless get back on their feet. victory programs is a drug and alcohol free transitional living facility that accommodates single men, single women and families.

The Salvation Army’s transitional programs move people from the streets to stability to employment and finally to a home. At victory programs, children find a safe, alcohol and drug free place to call home while their parents get back on their feet. victory programs provides a safe and clean environment supported by 24-hour, seven-day-a-week case management and supportive services.

The Salvation Army, an international movement, is an evangelical part of the universal Christian Church. Its mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination. The Salvation Army Medford provides transitional living for those facing homelessness.

Loisann exemplified the ideals of victory programs Review, which strives to instill hope in and provide direction for hurting, children and their families. Men, women and families come to us from the street, from camps and cars and find a hand up to help them get back on their feet. Her family dynamics were difficult, and at an early age she felt neglected and left to fend for herself. As a preteen, she was given freedom without the tools to navigate it.
