Following the launches of the i7 edrive60 and M70 variants, the (G70) BMW i7 eDrive50 now debuts and joins the ranks as the ‘entry-level’ offering of BMW’s flagship EV sedan.
With the introduction of the eDrive50, the G70 i7 range now totals three variants, this is how they shape up:

All three variants are supplied by a 101.7 kWh battery which is claimed to offer a driving range of 611 km (WLTP cycle) in the eDrive50 from a full charge.

However, the eDrive60 remains the long-hauler of the trio with a maximum WLTP-rated driving range of 625 km, followed by the eDrive50 (611 km) and M70 with 560 km.
In terms of perfromance, the i7 eDrive50 accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.5 seconds. Top speed is electronically limited to 205 km/h.

The i7 eDrive50 will go on sale in selected markets starting July 2023.
Closer to hom, the BMW i7 is expected to make its official launch in Malaysia soon at an estimated price of RM 730k, after Registration of Interest (ROI) opened mid-2022.
