Following the launch of the Hyundai Creta in Malaysia earlier this morning, Hyundai Sime Darby Malaysia (HSDM) teased that they’ll be launching three more new models here in our country this year.
Silhouettes of the cars are on the company’s Facebook page, and from a quick glance it’s clear that there’ll be at least 2 SUVs and 1 sedan. An educated guess as to what these models are point towards the Hyundai Santa Fe facelift, all-new Hyundai Tucson, and the Ioniq 6 electric vehicle (EV).
The Santa Fe is a straightforward guess as the old model has been discontinued here, and it’s been teased for us before. Meanwhile for the Ioniq 6 its bulbous shape is rather easier to recognise, and like the Santa Fe, was also dangled to us late last year.

The Tucson however was spotted in Malaysia in April last year, which is a good indication in itself though sometimes the cars here could just be for evaluation purposes.

However, do note that there are other models in Hyundai’s line-up that could trade places with the cars named here – the Toyota Veloz and Mitsubishi Xpander-baiting 7-seater Hyundai Stargazer could also make an appearance.
When these models are to be launched aren’t clear just yet, but we have it on good accord that the spate of introductions won’t be too far away. Stay tuned.
