Toyota C-HR set to be discontinued in Japan come July 2023; next-gen model looms closer

With its discontinuation, it’s the end of a model that’s been around since 2016, 14-December of that year in fact was the exact date of its Japanese debut.

It’s the second model to be spun from the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA-C) platform (after the 4th-gen Prius), the Compact High Rider also went on sale in other Asian countries, Europe, Australia, South Africa, North America, and in Southeast Asia too.

At point of publication, the C-HR is still sold in Thailand and in certain European markets including the United Kingdom.
