GoCar Malaysia, a leading on-demand mobility-as-a-service platform, has expanded its GoCar Subs Electric fleet with some of the latest EV models. The new fleet includes the Nissan Leaf, the new Renault Zoe, Hyundai Kona EV (Plus variant), Hyundai Ioniq 5, Great Wall Motors’ Ora Good Cat and even the MINI Electric and Tesla Model Y.
The Tesla Model Y is a Long Range variant, with CCS2 DC fast charging port.
In addition to the expanded fleet, GoCar Malaysia is also offering new weekly and monthly subscription plans for EVs. These plans make it easier and more affordable for Malaysian consumers to experience life with different EVs.
With these new options, more people will be able to experience the benefits of EVs and make an informed decision about whether or not an EV is right for them.
Subscription rates start from RM120 per day for the monthly plan and RM171 per day for the weekly plan. Rates are calculated based on the respective subscription fee and mandatory Collision Damage Waiver (CDW).
“We believe Malaysians are curious about EVs but many are apprehensive about having to use it as their primary mode of transportation,” said Wong Hoe Mun, CEO of GoCar Malaysia.
“With our new weekly and monthly subscription options, we are calling more people to ‘Experience Electric’ with GoCar Subs. They can test a range of EVs in their daily commute or for short trips, assess the EV charging experience and discover if the EV lifestyle is for them.”
To book a one-week or one-month EV experience, sign up for a GoCar Subs account via the GoCar mobile app or GoCar Subs website and select a model of interest. Vehicles will be ready within 14 days (subject to availability) upon completion of payment, which covers the one-time subscription fee and a refundable security deposit.
The GoCar Subs’ Electric programme is currently available within the Klang Valley. For easy charging, all GoCar Subs EVs include a chargEV card. The complimentary chargEV card provides free access to all standalone AC chargers, excluding Starbucks and BMW locations. ChargEV has a network of over 300 charging stations nationwide.
