The days are long and the nights are short and the temperature is quite cool. During this period, the temperature ranges from 15°C to 25°C and the days are warm and sunny.

 

During these months, the skies are clear and the sun is out for most of the day, making it perfect for exploring the outdoors. The terrain is ideal for trekking up the mountain and enjoying the picturesque views. The meadows and valleys are full of wildflowers and the air is fresh and invigorating.

 

The spring and autumn months are also great times to visit Triund Trek as well. In spring, the weather is cooler, but still relatively pleasant. The views of the snow-capped mountains and vibrant meadows are gorgeous and the skies are often clear with lots of sunshine.

How to Reach

Reaching Triund is easy and fun because it is a beautiful trekking route. The trek takes you through some of the most breathtaking scenery in the Himalayas.

 

The best way to reach Triund is by bus/taxi from McLeod Ganj, Dharamshala, which takes about two hours. Alternatively, you can also take a shared jeep from Dharamshala to the end of the road in Dharamkot, and then start the trek from there. Once you reach the end of the road in Dharamkot, the trek will take you through lush green forests, over a few suspension bridges, and eventually to the top of Triund.

 

The trek is usually split into two stages. The first stage is from Dharamkot to Galu Temple. This is a relatively easy 3.5 km trek and should take around 2-3 hours. After resting at the Galu Temple, one can continue the journey to Triund, which is 5 km from this point. The total time to reach Triund should be around 5 hours.

 

The trek is not very difficult and only requires some basic fitness.
