8-Day Ziwa Sanctuary, Queen Elizabeth, and Bwindi Safari

Day 1: Arrival in Entebbe, Uganda

Upon arrival at Entebbe International Airport, the Frena Adventures team will warmly welcome you to Uganda. Our friendly representative will be waiting to greet you and assist with your transfer to your accommodation in Kampala, the vibrant capital city. Enjoy the scenic drive as you soak in the beauty of Uganda’s landscapes. Once you reach your accommodation, take some time to rest and relax after your journey. Use this leisure time to acclimate to the surroundings or explore nearby attractions. Overnight, settle into your comfortable accommodation in Kampala, preparing for the exciting adventure that awaits you in the coming days.

Day 2: Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary

Start your day with a delicious breakfast at your hotel in Kampala. Afterward, embark on a scenic 3-hour drive to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, the proud home of the endangered white rhinos in Uganda. Upon arrival, you’ll be guided through the sanctuary, learning about the vital conservation efforts and initiatives to protect these magnificent creatures from extinction.

Get up close and personal with the rhinos during an exhilarating rhino tracking experience accompanied by experienced guides. Witness these majestic animals in their natural habitat, observing their behavior and capturing memorable photographs.

After the thrilling encounter, enjoy a delectable lunch at a nearby restaurant. Then, transfer to your accommodation near Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, where you’ll spend a peaceful overnight stay surrounded by the tranquility of the sanctuary’s surroundings.

Day 3: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

On Day 3, after enjoying a delicious breakfast at the lodge, we embarked on a scenic journey towards Queen Elizabeth National Park. The approximately four-hour drive allowed us to soak in the beauty of the Ugandan landscape along the way. Upon arrival, we checked in at our accommodation within the park, eager to begin our wildlife adventure. In the afternoon, we embarked on a thrilling game drive, venturing deep into the park in search of magnificent creatures such as elephants, buffaloes, and lions.

The park’s diverse ecosystem provided us with remarkable wildlife encounters. Later, we embarked on a sunset boat cruise along the enchanting Kazinga Channel, where we marveled at many wildlife while relishing the breathtaking scenery. Concluding the day with a delightful dinner, we settled in for an overnight stay in Queen Elizabeth National Park, eagerly anticipating the wonders awaiting us the following day.

Day 4: Game Drive and Chimpanzee Tracking

Day 4 commenced with a satisfying early morning breakfast at our lodge, fueling us for an exciting day ahead. We embarked on a morning game drive through the renowned Kasenyi plains, renowned for their rich biodiversity. Our primary objective was to spot the park’s majestic predators, including lions, leopards, and hyenas. The vast savannah stretched before us, offering incredible opportunities to witness these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat.

Following the exhilarating game drive, we enjoyed a delightful lunch at a scenic picnic spot within the park, savoring the beauty of our surroundings. We ventured into the Kyambura Gorge in the afternoon for an enchanting chimpanzee tracking experience. We were captivated by these remarkable primates as we observed them in their natural habitat. As the day drew to a close, we returned to the lodge for a delectable dinner and settled in for another peaceful overnight stay in Queen Elizabeth National Park.

Day 5: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Day 5 began with a delightful breakfast at our lodge, preparing us for the next leg of our journey. We bid farewell to Queen Elizabeth National Park and embarked on a scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, which took approximately three hours. Upon arrival at our accommodation near Bwindi, we settled in and had the afternoon at leisure to unwind and appreciate the captivating surroundings.

An optional community visit was available for those seeking cultural immersion, allowing us to interact with the local people and gain insight into their vibrant culture. As the day ended, we enjoyed a delicious dinner and spent the night near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, eagerly anticipating the upcoming adventures.

Day 6: Gorilla Trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Day 6 commenced with an early breakfast at our lodge as we prepared for the highly anticipated gorilla trekking experience. We transferred to the park headquarters, receiving a comprehensive briefing on gorilla trekking and the guidelines to ensure a safe and respectful encounter. Excitedly, we ventured into the dense forest, guided by experienced trackers and armed with curiosity.

As we traversed the captivating terrain, we had the incredible privilege of encountering the majestic mountain gorillas in their natural habitat. For an awe-inspiring hour, we observed and photographed these magnificent creatures, their gentle demeanor, and familial bonds leaving an indelible impression on our hearts. After bidding farewell to the gorillas, we returned to the lodge, where we relaxed and reflected on the extraordinary adventure of the day. We concluded the day with a satisfying dinner and spent the night near Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, cherishing the memories of our gorilla encounter.

Day 7: Nature Walk and Cultural Interaction

Day 7 of the 8 Days Ziwa Sanctuary Queen Elizabeth and Bwindi Safari began with a satisfying breakfast at the lodge, preparing us for an immersive day ahead. We embarked on a guided nature walk in the enchanting Bwindi forest, where we marveled at its unique flora and fauna. Our knowledgeable guide enlightened us about the different plant species and their medicinal properties, deepening our understanding of the forest’s intricate ecosystem.

Following the nature walk, we visited a local community, engaging in cultural interactions that allowed us to experience the vibrant traditions and customs firsthand. We were treated to captivating traditional performances, further immersing ourselves in the local culture. As the day drew to a close, we gathered for a heartfelt farewell dinner, reminiscing about the unforgettable experiences we had throughout the Ziwa Sanctuary, Queen Elizabeth, and Bwindi Safari. Day 8: Departure

On Day 8, after enjoying a final breakfast at the lodge, we reluctantly checked out from our accommodation, marking the end of our remarkable 8 Days Ziwa Sanctuary, Queen Elizabeth, and Bwindi Safari with Frena Adventures. With hearts full of wonderful memories, we embarked on the transfer back to Entebbe International Airport, a journey that spanned approximately eight hours.

As we traversed the Ugandan landscape, we couldn’t help but reflect on the incredible experiences we had at Ziwa Sanctuary, Queen Elizabeth National Park, and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
