Recently, Lexus Malaysia debuted the all-new 2023 Lexus RX in Malaysia. Bookings for the all-new SUV are now opened for the sole RX 350 variant.

As before, the Lexus RX 350 is imported (CBU) from Japan and prices start from RM 468,888 (on-the-road, excludes insurance).

Powering the sole RX 350 variant is a turbocharged 2.4-litre petrol engine does 279 PS and 430 Nm, mated to an 8-pseed Direct Shifter torque converter automatic transmission. Thanks to the all-wheel drive (AWD) system, 0-100 km/h is dispatched in just 7.6 seconds.

Now developed on the TNGA architecture, specifically the GA-K variant, the all-new Lexus RX is larger and lighter than its predecessor. Overall length is maintained at 4,890 mm, but the new generation model is now 25 mm wider at 1,920 mm and 10 mm taller at 1,695 mm.

Despite its increase in width and height, the all-new Lexus RX is actually up to 90 kg lighter than the model it replaces.

Up front, the all-new RX gets ultra slim 3-beam LED projector headlights with Adaptive High-beam System (AHS), replete with the signature Lexus LED daytime running lights (DRLs).

The rear of the all-new 2023 Lexus RX gets a single piece, full-width LED tail light with the Lexus name plastered across. Completing the exterior of the all-new Lexus RX are 21-inch alloy wheels.

Inside the cabin of the all-new Lexus RX, the luxury automotive manufacturer has adopted the Tazuna concept that places all driving-related functions in an intuitive layout and within the reach of the driver, while providing excellent forward visibility.

Standard equipment include a massive 14-inch infotainment display system Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, a 12-speaker Lexus Premium Audio sound system, 3-zone Lexus Climate Concierge automatic climate control, head-up display, and 64-colour ambient lighting system.

The seats are wrapped with semi-aniline leather. The front seats offer memory function with 10-way power adjustments and 4-way lumbar support adjustments. The front and rear seats are also ventilated and heated.

Safety equipment on the Lexus RX is also comprehensive, as it includes the Lexus Safety System+ (LSS+) ADAS suite that includes features like adaptive cruise control with stop and go, as well as curve speed reduction function. There’s also autonomous emergency braking and adaptive high-beam system.

Five colours are offered, namely Sonic Quartz, Sonic Iridium, Sonic Titanium, Sonic Copper, and Graphite Black Glass.
